How to get here

To get to Rauris you can fly to Salzburg Airport W.A Mozart, which is then approximately a 1 hour drive to Rauris. You can also fly to Innsbruck and Munich in Germany which are both about a 2 hour drive. BA Connect, bmi baby, FlyBe, Jet2 and Thomson Fly all fly from the UK to Salzburg and TUI Fly, Easy Jet, Lufthansa and Sky Europe all fly from the UK to Innsbruck and Munich.

Car Hire

At the airport you can hire vehicles from Hertz, Argus Rentals, Sixt and Avis. Web sites such as www.holidayautos.co.uk and www.moneysupermarket.com will give you the most competitive rates for car hire.

Directions from Salzburg airport -

  • Follow signs to the A10 for Villach. Stay on until junction 47 signed to Bichofshofen. Then pick up signs for Zel Am See.
  • After approximately 20 miles on the 311 go through Taxenbach and look out for a right turn just after this village for Rauris.
  • Keep on going for approximately 7 Km’s and you should then see the spire of the Rauris church on your left.
  • Turn left into Rauris Sud (after North, centre and west)
  • Take immediate right turn (signed Poserveg / Landhaus sch waiger /Rainberhof / Landhaus St Georg).
  • Keep going to the end of the road and you will see the apartment block on your left hand side. Enter via the middle door at the rear of the building.

Train

If you fly to Salzburg, you will need to go to the main train station. Bus no. 2 goes at regular intervals (every 10 min.) between Salzburg main railway station and Salzburg Airport. 

For Sundays and public holidays buses run every 20 min. Journey time approx and journey time is approximately 20 minutes. The cost for a single adult ticket is € 1,80 and children € 0,90. Tickets are available at "Newscorner" in the terminal or at bus driver.

  • Last Bus: train station - airport: 22h54 
  • First Bus: airport - train station: 05h36 (Sat 05h56, Sun 06h21)
  • Last Bus: airport - train station: 23h16 (Fri/Sat/Sun 00h30)

Once you are at the Main train station, you can take the train to Taxenbach which is the next village from Rauris (Approximately 6 km away) and take a taxi the rest of the way. You can also take a train to Zel Am See which is approximately ½ hour from Rauris and will again require a transfer to Rauris.
